The festive break

After one of the most eventful years we’ve ever had, we need a little break to do a bit of star gazing ourselves.

We’ll be having our festive feet up between 21st December and 2nd January, with a full technical support service up and running by 7th January. Don’t worry if you do need help in our Christmas break, as we’ll still be checking in from time to time and will get to your enquiry as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Please send all your regular enquiries to contact@atik-cameras.com and all of your technical support enquiries to support@atik-cameras.com over this time. We promise the staff pictured below are competently able to deal with any issue.

Taking a look back on our busy year

We kicked off the year announcing the 2017 astrophotography competition. Álvaro Ibáñez Pérez wowed us with his stunning image of The Ghost Nebula captured on an Atik 460EX, and went on to win an Atik Horizon.

To celebrate the launch of our amazing filters range, we gave some away! The lucky winner was Javi Flores Martin. Javi is really enjoying the filters, and is looking forward to some clear skies, to fully test them all. Below is Javi’s first light with the Ha filter. To accompany the filters we’ve just launched an updated filter wheel with mechanical positioning for ultimate accuracy.

We’ve been to all the best places from Astrofest and NEAF to ATT, IAS and Les rencontres du ciel et de l’espace. All that, whilst achieving an amazing first year with our sister companies  QSImaging and Opus Instruments. Plus we now have an incredible new workroom, equipped to handle any amount of service and repairs.

And this to look forward to…

Not satisfied to rest on our laurels, we’re planning big things for 2019. We’ve recently recruited ten BETA testers, to help us launch Dusk which will be replacing ArtemisCapture in the new year, plus one or two more surprise announcements on the way (watch this space).

One thing left to say…

Lastly, thank you for your custom and support over the last 12 months. As always, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed expanding both our hobby and yours. We truly couldn’t do it without you. Warmest wishes for long, dark, clear nights…  and a happy, healthy New Year!
